Hello, although this is my first post I have fbeen lurking for the past two weeks. This forum very useful and has helped me decide on an RS4 Avant. I am just about to conclude a deal on a new Avant and wondered what the opinion is regarding Bucket Vs. Sports seats - Comfort? Residual Value? etc. In addition, has anyone managed to negotiate a discount on a new RS4?

Thanks

Seats a matter of personal choice. Try them and decide. Opinion divided. Buckets more RS4 individual Sports probably easier to live with (access) and possibly better choice if you are on the bigger side. I chose the sports and sure it was the right choice for me but the supporters of the bucket seats feel equally stronger. Do not think it will have any bearing on residuals.

just bought a new saloon, managed to get basically what i wanted option wise but as its had to by a stock car rather than spec exactly how i wanted ended up with couple of things i wouldnt actually have bothered with (rear blinds and cooled glove box). managed to get just under 4pct discount.

Audi stopped taking orders on the Avant in early July and the Saloon production ended in late June, i know this because my friend and i ordered two vehicles at this deadline, our vehicles and comments are due to be featured in next edition of the Audi driver magazine. There are few cars at the dealers that were pre-ordered and the cabriolet is still being built.

Just ordered mine waiting for a completion hopefully this week so I know where you are there mate. Spec is important in so much as the must have's are SAT NAV and the square bottom S Wheel, leather etc. Colour is a matter of choice but to be honest they are all great and will sell in the future. Seats have already been mentioned and smack on. Those of us on the wrong side of 15 stone might find the buckets a bit a snug fit  but IMHO look the part and will help resale. Residuals are v strong and one of the best cars on the market but there is always a deal to be done. A new car with delivery miles only etc can be picked up between 50 -57K depending on spec which of course you can not now choose due to no orders available. Ive ordered a newly new one 2 month old with 900 on the clock and with PX on mine high spec for around 50k which i think isnt to bad. There are cheaper one out there for sure just get the balance right.

So go with a high spec which most are and if you parting with those sort of figures on new or nearly new should do fine. Good luck
