Rear brakes sticking after wheel washing?

The rear brakes seem to stick after having washed the wheels then garaged the car for a couple of days, ie the brakes/wheels have thoroughly dried out. They stick up quite badly and need light revs to get them to release (doesn't sound nice!), once released they are fine. I have been told lots of Audi's experience this....sounds strange to me. Does anyone else experience this??. Cheers Glyn

Its normal.
Pretty much any car regardless of make will do this.

every car I have ever owned does this.
If its dry I just drive a few hundred yards before I garage it and it spins all the water out of the wheels.

Mine will do this after only a few hours on the driveway.. nothing to worry about.... M3 was worse, use to be quite a loud 'bang' as you pulled away releasing it

After washing I don't put the handbrake on just leave it in first gear seems to sort this problem. Heard the handbrake doesn't work that well on some cars anyway!!

You should really drive the car and get the brakes warm after you've washed it. The discs rust fast if they are left wet, its not something that happens in normal use really.

Thanks guys, good to know its not unusual, (it doesn't seem to make a difference if the handbrake is on or off). I have used the garden leaf blower on the brakes a few times, did make a difference (but one time blew the plastic wheel caps off!!). Thanks for the replies
