Hi Guys ,
I`m currently awaiting my new car , After reading a few reports , it seems it maybe worth while adding a chip , or haveing the ECU remapped,
Who offer the best option for this ??
I am in Sydney , and I know of a performance shop that can organise the upgrade , Just need to know who offers the best option. ( supplier)
I don`t want a race car, just more reponsive and smoother drive.
Thanks
Nicholas

Nicholas, many many threads on here about tuning options, but it's probably only you who knows what's available in OZ.
In the UK, MRC & DMS have re-maps & it looks as though REVO also have the ability to remap B7 RS4's as well. Perhaps REVO have a dealer in OZ. I know DMS operate is the US, Europe & Asia, but not sure if they have worked in Oz yet.

A stroke of luck & i guess good news for you.
I asked the question at Awesome GTI in the UK & they said their is a tuner in OZ who can re-map B7 RS4's under the APR Banner & that company is called Harding Performance. Now the interesting part is that APR do NOT have a B7 RS4 re-map, however in OZ (& perhaps other geographies) they sell the DMS re-map:)

Hey Nicholas, think I spoke with you about 4months ago, regarding finance for one of these beasts. Hope you enjoy your car, simply astonishing performance.
Firstly, run your car in well, adhere to AUDI's prescription. First 1000km under 6000 rpm, 1000-2000km can touch 7000 , 2500km + full rev range if required on a warm car, OIL at 90C
Now Harding performance do offer the DMS remap. Looked into it last month. Waiting however for run in and more feedback. 3500 inc GST
Maps available on request. Be sure to understand what they 're doing, particularly with fuelling and timing.
Maybe start with the exhaust mod. Let it breath.
Cheers

David Atkin from Peak Performance in Parramatta said they have REVO remap. Don't know much about the REVO software itself. Regards.

Hi guys, a bit of search also showed that Powerchip in Australia also do remap for our RS4 B7. Their claim is with the addition of a PowerchipGold 98 will increase the power to 321 kW. In addition to the extra power, the torque is also increased to 447 Nm. For $1990, I wonder how it rates with $3500 DMS remap with 328kW of power, and 461Nm of torque.
I am actually keen on this mod, better bang for your bucks compared to exhaust system. The only thing I do worry is long term effect on the engine relaibility and warranty. Any views on that? Cheers.
