Anybody know of genuine 'Run Flat' tyres

I had Pirrelli P-Zero 255/39's fitted which I was informed are 'run-flat' tyres. (Due to the lack of a spare this was important to me). Having cased some damage (driver error) to my front left I can assure that Pirrelli P-zero's have a very thin outer wall and cannot even support the car at 5mph. Anybody know of a brand that can?

Whoever told you that PZeros are run flat tyres was telling a great big porky pie.

Just read almost any article about the terrible ride of most current BMW's which have run-flat tyres as standard and you will stay a million miles away from run-flat tyres.

I've solved the problem of no spare by having a 90 profile emergency spare on a 17" wheel (standard Audi part) in a 4x4 tyre bag in the boot - this fits on the rear wheels only so if I have to replace a front I put the emergency on the rear and put the rear onto the front.

From my unfortunately vast experience and expensive hobby of low profile side wall failures (six tyres in total now to date at a cost of nearly £1500), I carry full-size spare in the boot (as well as having tyre insurance), as the boot is the size of the albert hall and I used to drive a 2 seater so space aint an issue for me. Thankfully Audi appear to have seen the light, as S6 now has full size spare as well as battery in the boot-well; hopefully new RS6 will be the same.
