They are awesome , the flat bottom wheel and buckets are heart n soul of the car, unless your an overweight blob, youd be crazy to take the s4 seats,

correct, a brief search will find several lengthy threads on this subject.... you will get about a 50/50 split recommendation here, one thing i would say, no one has ever 'regretted' having the Sports Recaro's over the buckets, some have regretted the buckets, many think they are great... Personally the buckets compramise comfort and practicality over great looks and impression... Recaro's can be more comfortable for most people's frame.. but also its not easy to get in and out of the buckets if you are in a tight parking space and also the right bottom seat bolster takes a real hammering and can look pretty shabby after only a short period of time... these issues affected my decision to go Recaro...
Just my 2p worth...

As Jason says. I took an rs4 with buckets on a 2hr test drive and I would say that if they feel snug when you initilally get in they do loosen slightly and they do look nice although personally I think they look a little plasticky. My test drive confirmed that I wanted recaros. I am 6"3 and 16 stone (not a porker). The year old car that I took on a test drive had only 6k and the buckets were already looking creased around the hip bolster, again this swayed me toward recaros.

I had major dilemmas over this issue - in the end went for the Recaro sports seats, not the buckets - for me it was the best decision I could have made - if i'd got the buckets the car would be up for sale after 6 months - comfort wins! :@)

Had car just nearly 3 weeks now, got the buckets and I find them supremely comfortable......5'10" and 14.5 stone
Done plenty miles in em as well (1700 at mo.

).
Have to agree that the side the side of the seat on entrance to the car is getting pretty worn though!! General carelessness on my part when getting into the car......but who cares....still drives the same

Even with my seat woes i'm glad i choose the buckets. They are comfy and over everything else sporty. If i wanted out and out comfort, I would have bought an A8..
