Not keen on the carbon bonnet bit, would want that painted I think.

Ahhh, the lovely MTM K540 conversion, very nice. £12k the when I was looking at it. It was really aimed at the V8 R8 owner, but hell if I had a '4.....

Just to be clear, that £12,000(ish) includes carbon fibre bodywork, uprated brakes, uprated suspension, supercharger, tuning and fitting IIRC.

That's different than the charger for the S4, the S4 don't need the bonnet mods.
Saying that it's only a bit different as the RS is FSI

MTM Supercharged = 540PS at 8220rpm and 560Nm torque at 3700rpm..
Also is lighter than stock due to the carbon bodywork.
Read the figures and weep/drool:
0-62mph 3.9s
0-125mph 11.3s
top speed 320kph, i.e. basically 200mph.

The supercharger whine combined with the exhaust note is just totally, absolutely 100% to die for!!!

What is the conclusion on the reliability of the car with this? Have MTM made it available to buy yet? Does anyone know if any engine internal modifications are needed, or is it simply bolt-on?

My god, that thing is to die for!!! Personally I think for £12k that is a bargain. You're getting basically 911tt performance for approx £65k, so nearly half the price! And it sounds sooooooooo sexy!

Have MTM made it available to buy yet?
I sent QSTuning an email when I was looking to buy a '4 (2 months ago) but they never responded. Got a '6 in the end so didn't chase up.
QST are able to offer the MTM Supercharger kit for the current S4 V8, as featured in Audi Driver Magazine, giving a power enhancement of up to 500bhp.
MTM are undergoing extensive development and testing to enable this kit to work on the new Audi RS4 V8 with an expected 550bhp.
This will include all 4.2 FSI engines for example the Q7 & latest generation S4, with power increases from 450 500bhp.

Shame they couldn't think of something other than putting a carbon brick on the bonnet, it looks awful. Admit it does sound and go well

Its is a good option to really have a fast RS4. Pricing & availability is still not official ... or does anyone have better news?

MTM are good, but they have some really tacky bodywork concepts every now and then....
Their site is a bit slow at being updated, maybe a phone call or send several mails and they will answer!

It's still under test. An article stated they were not releasing it until their one had covered 50,000 km.
It's a bolt on jobby, pistons are untouched and the compression ratio stays the same.
They have the charge pressure set really low in my opinion and still have managed a huge increase in BHP so all being well it should be very reliable.
