RS4 - in the snow

Wasn’t it lovely to be an RS4 driver in the snow this morning, I actually had to remind myself not to get annoyed at the other drivers on the road this morning, clearly they don't have the superior drivetrain delivery and traction.

I Second that... Had a very nasty 'quattro' experience in the snow in my old S4 a year ago in the Swiss Alps.... Not nice at all!

Take it easy guys.... these cars have a way of making you think you are invincible!

Had a little slide this morning on a side road full of ice, 2 tons and quattro were no help at all.

Passed a bloke this morning, his car has 50/50 weight balance for perfect handling.

He wasnt pleased, but spinning rear wheels aren't attractive. I had to drive round him - the cheery wave may have pissed him off slightly. Overtaken at 8 mph.

I went snowboarding in the Tamworth Snowdome last night, was strange when I left after three hours indoors to them find that it was snowing outside. Very little had settled on the motorways though and safely made good progress home.

Not far off.. Actually it was steak & carlsberg, followed by a medicinal whisky

No cycling today; unfortunately (for me) all is not as it may appear, I dug my bike out of the shed the other weekend and dusted it off after being sat there stationary for the last two years as I'm off boarding in a fortnight and need to get my ass in gear so that I dont collapse after the first day on piste. I fear that it may be too little too late!

I have been throwing mine around in the snow and it's great. Definitely not invincible. But a lot of fun! The audi garage recommended I change the wheels to 18s with a smaller width, but I just put winter tyres on the factory rims, and it drives pretty well.
