am picking up a new Rs4 Avant on Monday and was wodering if there is anything I need to look out for...you know, little niggles which the dealer should sort in PDI.

any info would be appreciated.

Haven't had any niggles with mine - guess it depends on the dealer.

Guyt what build week were you? Mine's due in next week but haven't had a date yet. Would also be curious as to post-PDi issues etc.

Don't know what build week, I got a cancelled order, however it came off the transporter today if that gives you any indication .

My Avant is also due next week (must be a batch made in RHD?), was finished over a week ago, but has been listed as 'awaiting shipping' for a week. apparently this time also includes the time it takes to get across Germany.

Wonder if the high winds we're experiencing mean that sailings have been cancelled.

Still keeping fingers crossed to get the car at the end of the week...can't wait!

Although we haven't been able to answer the question in the OT (a good thing?) I can confirm that mine is arriving Friday to the compound, having its PDI then, and I'm picking it up on Saturday. This must be the best Christmas present (I've ever given myself) ever. Downside is the 996 went today. Great car.

Mine has just arrived at the dealers.Right on time,but I will not be taking delivery until Jan 2nd.(I live in Ireland) for 07 reg year.Mine has the clear indicators,no sat nav but did get the upgraded stereo and I pod connection.

its a saloon not avant!

Picking mine up in the new year (so it gets logged as an 07 56 car). Hoping there are no 'issues' with it as my S4 has been pretty trusty!.
Phantom black, Solar sunroof, Recaro sports (non bucket), isofix and I think thats about it...
Having an armrest fitted since it didnt have one despite them being a no cost option.
It is an orange indicator model but I did pay an 06 price for it despite it being new so not too bothered on that (has about 80 miles on the clock,some of which I put on!)

Just picked mine up today!!!

Avant, Daytona Grey, privacy glass, tech pack, TV (which is crap reception!), buckets.

NO TMC, but clear indicators.

Photos soon! The privacy glass certainly makes it look mean!

Now, have to change my signature....

looks like Santa will be making a few people VERY HAPPY this Xmas.... while I can only sit here red with jealousy at least my girlfriend bought a 2000 year RS4 in misano red so better make than ANOTHER 2 people very happy at this time of year. misano red RS4 and tornado red Ur quattro in the drive tmw then a toast to the new owners of RS4's this Xmas.
