Thanks for all the comments on the Buckets/Recaros.

Order now placed for Phantom Black Avant with Black Recaros.
I have also gone for the black headlining and carbon inlays.

My one consideration now is how dark and dour the interior may be. I have gone for the sunroof, which will go some way to offset that, but would appreciate any comments from you guys.

Should I change to the silver leather, or will that suffer at the hands of my 7 and 9 year old boys? i am borrowing an S3 with silver recaros at the moment, and the leather looks pretty rough, although the car is a good few years old.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts/experience.
M

mine has charcoal headlining, and carbon, with the sunroof it is plenty bright enough...

I like a lighter interior and went for silver recaros, silver headliner, aluminium inlays and sunroof with my phantom black exterior. I am delighted with the reult and the people at the dealers said they thought it a particularly attractive combination. I think the leather is pretty tough but the lighter colour will need more cleaning. Binder (RS4 saloon Phantom Black 9600 miles)

I went for silver Recaros, silver headliner, carbon fibre inlays and sunroof on my Phantom Black Avant. It's noticeably lighter and brighter inside than my previous S4 which had silver Recaros, black headliner and carbon fibre inlays.

If I could have ordered buckets in another colour then I would have.

Luckily my bright paintwork sobers the car up a bit

I've been thinking about possibly getting the rears of the buckets colour coded like Porsche do, to brighten it up a bit and also protect them from the baby's feet :D

I keep a packet of those damp finger wipes for babies and kids in the car - they're great for wiping over the leather and removing the daily dirty marks when you have an idle moment (like lunchtime or when your wife/partner is clothes shopping!).

Stops the light leather ever getting too dirty.
