New RS4

I've heard from an Audi dealer about the new RS4 [img]images/graemlins/sekret.gif[/img].
Even though Audi are still officially saying a 2004 launch, this dealer has been asked to actually place orders to spec on Audi.
He thinks it is possible that the first ones could be arriving in September 2003! [img]images/graemlins/nodder.gif[/img]
No price or pictures yet (he was guessing £53k [img]images/graemlins/jawdrop.gif[/img]), but it will be the 4.2 biturbo engine.
It will be down on power from the RS6, but wether it is just detuned or using smaller turbos, he does not know.
It may be a load of BS, or it may be true, but I thought I would share this snippet of info. [img]images/graemlins/rs4-button.jpg[/img]

new RS4 will arrive one year before the end of the current A4. That should be 2005 or 2006.

I was talking to Emanuele Pirro (who lives in Rome) the other day and he said that the most probable engine choice for the future RS4 will be the 3 time Le Mans winning engine of the R8 [img]images/graemlins/roflmao.gif[/img]

My dealer told me it was going to be a restricted version of the W16 Quad turbo found in the bugatti veyron or whatever its called, due to space limitations the new rs4 will be a mid/rear engined 2 door lifestyle estate car.
