Has anyone done long motorway runs with the bucket seats? If so, how did you find them?

Not yet, but I can see it being an issue.

2hr+ in a run up to Chester the other week and no problems at all, you also work out a 'special routine' for getting out of them.
6ft 1in 12 1/2 stone for the records

Thank god im not the only one making a fuss!

Oh I read an article last week that BMI was invented by a Belgium chap between 1810 and 1850. And that taking in to account the different diet we have these days and the fact that in the past 200 years humans have grown generally and the calculation really means jack. Also they found in acase study that heart disease in 1000 patients was suffered % wise by those with low BMI so that throw another of those theories out the window to.

Oh Im 6 foot and at the mo 15 stone.

Interesting about the seats - how some people are OK with them and others clearly are not.

I was thinking of setting up a matrix where people could enter their height, weight, waist size etc and then state whether they found the seats comfortable. Perhaps this could act as a guide for others buying the car and whether to opt for buckets or not.

Don't mind you asking at all Tartan Rob!

For the record I'm 6' 2", weigh qbout 15st 7lbs and have a 34" waist.
I find the seats OK.

I'm 6' 0", weigh 13st 11lbs and have a 36" waist - and I found the buckets so uncomfortable on the test drive I've got the Recaros in my RS4.

I am a 36" waist but have big legs and from memory I found them a little uncomfortable around town with the sports button pressed. I am about 5' 11" and about 15/16 stone, but stalky with it.

Perhaps its the extra 2 inches (in waistline) that makes all the difference ..? :bigblink:

In fairness I found the seats in the RS6 starting to get uncomfortable after a 4 hour journey.

Longest journey so far was Bath to Holyhead, 4 hours and 278 miles, found the seats ok although I did keep adjusting the back rest to relieve some soreness in back, but I am sure it was due too my bad back not the seats. Once I get my 6ft 1" bulk into the seats I am fine, but as stated before, I have turned off the sports seat option as my fat butt and legs were getting to tightly held............
