My new RS4 Avant - Comments please

Post by Cubis » Sun Aug 27, 2006 7:54 am

Just got my new RS4 Avant in Misano Red with black optics package and titanium color wheels. It also has the suede steering wheel.

I haven´t seen any color scheme like this before on any car in this forum so I thought you´d like some pics 8)

Mine trims have also started to discolour, have been advised to leave it and wait for a bit, but Audi will fit new tail pipes if I want. Like the suade wheel, dont think it was offered as an option in the UK, but looking at the state of my B5 suade wheel, I glad I didn't go that route. Wheels look superb on your car, not so sure they would have looked right on a black car though.

Not mine anyway, not sure if anyone has the black tips on the milltek systems though.

By the way looks good, and like the plate.

When l ordered mine i didnt even consider the red, but after seening yours with the optics and dark wheels i think you have made a very good decision. Also the suade steering wheel is an option in the uk.

Not in March it wasn't........ nor were the darker wheels, cos I wanted them and was told I they were not available.........19" silver twin spoke or 8.5 18" 5 spoke...
Steering wheel options were RS wheel with punched leather with aluminium-look inserts or part perforated multi function wheel....this list may well have been added to since that.

Simple1 your definitly right about the wheels the option didnt come until much later. But the suade steering wheel was an option in the 'pricing and specification guide' (edition 2 effective from February 2006) given to me in March. But it was well into March i recieved the book and ordered mine around the 20th.

Mine was ordered with the optics pack in a vain hope it would bin the bling mirrors..... it didnt, I did ask for body coloured mirrors but was told they only came in Silver, so the boys in the body Shop can put that bit right. Had another look through my spec books, no mention of wheel option in mine but it is dated Feb 2006 so maybe more options introduced in a later edition..
