Ok I asked this question across on the Audi Sport forum but no replies. So I ordered my car in late July and have no idea when its coming. Dealer says sometime early next year !! But then I read of people whos cars have arrived up to 4 months early and others who got lucky because their dealer had some allocation. Anyone know the true picture ???

I ordered my RS4 Avant in mid March, expected delivery in mid August but actually collected it in late July.

When I collected it the dealer said that orders placed then would not arrive until November at the very earliest, but most probably not until February 2007. Demand for RS4's is so great that quattro gmbh can't make them quickly enough. AFAIK the only way to get one quicker is if you can get a cancelled order.

I was told that the factory was concentrating on building Avant and Cab RS4's but would soon be back on production of the saloon. It would be nice to have some kind of accurate lead time, especially as I need to know when to sell my 630.. Can't help thinking this is Audi playing games...

I ordered an Avant in early august - expected delivery January/February 2007.

Ordered my Cab mid March. Expected it to arrive mid July. It turned up at the end of May and I took delivery in early June.

Mine was ordered early March, and was delivered in late July. Actual build time was five weeks.

Ordered my car mid March it got delivered to the dealer start of August. I would agree that Audi seems to be playing games, the production runs & delivery times seems extremely distorted.

ordered my avant 01st March and still waiting

Dont forget the factory is closed for the entire month of August for summer holidays, so that holds things up a bit.....

Obviously the habit has spread across the boarder If you want your car put together as it should be, best let the boyos have a beer break

Ordered my Avant early August and was told to expect UK delivery in January. Apparently my dealer had sold over his allocation and was lucky to be able to get an order placed. Sounds like a bit of "supply and demand" mumbo jumbo, as everyone seems to be getting different lead times.

I suppose overall by what i have read if you allow 6 months you should be ok, i hope.
