Final Assembly

Hi,

Would anyone be able to estimate how many more weeks I have to wait for my RS4 Avant.....it is currently in final assembly check 7??

Don't know if this is of any use but last week my car was "at the factory gates" and I was quoted 2-3 weeks for delivery. I beleive check point 8 is the last one before despatch.

It took my car a week to show as awaiting shipment after it was complete, a further week to be consigned and a week to get from Sherness to Bath
Cars are trained from Ingolstat to North germany where they are then shiped, taking about four days including loading and unloading........

My car was at waiting shipment on the Tuesday, on Wednesday morning it said consigned and Wednesday afternoon it arrived at the dealer

My Avant showed at "Final Assembly" for two weeks. It is now shipping - hope you get it soon. Enjoy it when it comes - - Im climbing the walls waiting. Patience has never been a strong point

I understood that Checkpoint 7 was the point where the car left the main Audi production line to go to quattro gmbh to be turned into the RS4. It would then disappear off the radar for 2 weeks or so before delivery notification. Mine arrived 2-3 weeks after checkpoint 7.
