Ordered my RS4 in Feb.

Told build week was week 22/23 (first week June) and delivery to Australia in week 33 (early August).

Rang dealer today and all he cld tell me was my comm number (318815) and no info about where car is in production schedule.

Surely the dealer shd know more than this ?
Is this typical for other Aussies on the forum ?

Can anyone at a Dealership help me with any more info ??

Is your car a saloon or Avant, some saloons were scheduled for week 22 in right hand drive but were delayed for a few weeks, the way the system works, nothing shows up until the car actually starts to be built. It can then be tracked through the various build stations until showing as shipped........ at which point it will get lost for a while!

My car is a saloon.

I hope there isn't a delay.

Funny you should say that. Same thing is happening to mine. Got updates all through the build. Then got an update that it was on its way to port. Then the last to updates were awaiting shipment. Now my dealer cant find any updates on it

Mine is now showing the Waiting to be shipped status......... I expect the next thing I will hear is that the car is on the forecourt, dealer says no more than two weeks away..........

spoke to my dealer today and they have said that my avant is at stage 3? what part of the build is stage 3 and how long do you think it will be?

Stage 3 means its a car....... as in a shell, 4 is fitted body panels, 5 is paint, 6 is interior fitting, 7 is Gmbh engine and trans and suspension etc........ then back to Ingolstat for final inspection, I would say the car will be finished by the end of next week.............

Seems the time delay from waiting to be shipped to arriving at dealers varies from a week to a month, but the system should be updated when the car is loaded onto a boat. Not going to wait for 65 reg this time, just going to get it asap... am looking forward to getting it, just hope the first owners are not going to be doing R & D for Audi as we did with the B5.....

It would be very disappointing to have any problems with a 61k car!!

GeeBee, having the same problem, knew the build date and when finished, but the tracking whilst shipping has been all over the place, my car docks in Sydney today, should have my car in 1-2 weeks, I take it you are in Melbourne, at some stage I am meeting up with Jas/Bryan, come and join the party, what have you orederd?

I think they were all well documented, gearbox failures, chronic wind noise at rear doors, bent wheels, centre arm rest ratchet failures just to name a few.... oh and leaky oil coolers..........

At least they have problems documented would have been worst for you guys if you received and then had to go back. Dealers ! I am sure all will be ok - I suppose the dealers are not giving freebies to ease the pain!

I am in Sydney.

Dealer told me last week to expect car in early September !
Thats a long way from April (I was told April when I ordered car in Feb).

Ordered Sprint Blue with Recaros and memory function.
