Anyone here?
I have placed an order for an Avant (delivery not till Jan 07) - still deciding on the colour though (dealer has told me that production will not start till week 42, so I have a few weeks to confirm etc).
Options:
1. sun-roof
2. double glazing
Un-decided:
1. black out kit
2. carbon or piano blk inlay

he published price for the RS4 Avant is AU$168,100 + ORC

Audi dealers received their internal sales packs last week to start taking orders.
The process is as follows:
1. Register expressions of interest with a deposit (non-refundable) of AU$5K followed by a further AU$5K on confirmation of order/delivery date.
2. Orders taken now are for the production week 42 of this year for delivery Jan 2007
The Avants are loaded (as per Audi style) with options already, though the below are the available to order:
1. Ceramic braking system = AU$13,800
2. Black exterior styling package includes: grill frame in polished blk, matt blk trim strips around the windows, matt blk exhaust tailpipes, & matt blk roof rails = AU$1200
3. Double glazing, for additional security & noise insulation = TBC
4. Sunroof, tinted glass & electrically adjustable = AU$2300
5. Solar sunroof, electrically adjustable = NFI
6. Manual blinds for rear passengar doors = approx AU$400
7. Electric Recaro front sport seats (same as S4) = NFI
8. Seat heating fro front seats
9. Inlays, in brushed aluminium (matt), piano finish blk, or fine grain myrtle nutmeg (YUK) = NCO (standard is carbon fibre)
10. Multi-function sports leather steering wheel 3-spoke (same as the S4, not the cool flat bottom one) + NFI
11. Titanium wheels (satin finish) = TBC as this is an Audi Exclusive
The above is very similar to the Saloon model.

Thanks Gazzab - I know of only 1 Saloon in Sydney - though he is now selling as the local magistrate has suspended his license for speeding (after having the RS4 for only 500km!)...

Yeah - there's a lot of ocean to get 'down-under'...
But then cost of living is a factor - & it sure is cheaper to live here than in the UK...
& we are going to win the Rugby tonight! LOL

It may be cheaper. But it's all relative. We on average get payed alot more. My ex got a job for Raine and Horne. Leasing manager or something. getting around 700 - 800 a week. Thats peanuts and she thought it was a good wage. However i would say that your biggest outlay is your house. They are alot cheaper. But then you have the land.

Actually decided not to sell it. You can't get them in so easily in Australia, and I took it down to the track at the weekend, and it's just too much fun to part ways with. Hopefully, my appeal will be successful in July.

If you look at the price of the Australian RS4, it's not that much more expensive than a UK model. It's a fully specced car, i.e. I was only offered a choice of sun roof
Bose 10 speaker, Sat NAv, Sport Suspension, etc, etc are all standard on the car.

Bose is standard in the uk model so is Sports Suspension. Unless you mean Sports Suspension plus. But then that would be odd as most people would prefer the Standard suspension unless they intend on tracking it. Most things on the UK spec model are standard except the Sat Nav a a few other bits and pieces. The UK spec RS4 cab however comes with Sat Nav.
