I know I am not going to be popular here but would be interested to hear the thoughts of other people who have moved from a B6 / B7 S4 to the B&7 RS4

I have now had the RS4 2 months and covered 4k miles. Either this car takes some serious loosening up or I will put my neck on the block and say that it feels no faster than my S4 did?

Are other people noticing significant differences?

The S4 certainly felt like it had more pull in any gear at low revs.

The B6 / B7 S4 is not turbo, is also a normally aspirated 4.2 V8

hi
to me it seems quite a bit slower than the b5 rs4 upto say 80 mph then the b7 takes off, if u can keep it between 5 to 8k rpm it does shift.
at low rpm the b7 does seem like a turbo with permenant turbo lag.
as a drivers car the b7 is fantastic allround car.

I agree that it doesn't feel that fast, but as they are N/A they won't - they have no sudden urge like a turbo feels but they are a quick car. As posted on here before this is my B7 and look at the times - It is quick chaps!!! Not startling but quick!!
