Thought it was just a slight increase in the throttle map

me too but that slight increase must be quantifiable. It is my position that 7/8 bhp IS a slight increase ( 2%) in the grand scheme of things, and provides for a gentle/slight throttle remap

Harry - absolutely right. Had my car on the rollers and also spoke to Milltek and they have confrimed the same thing.

All cars are down on power, between 393 and 400 (inc S button being on).

But, don't worry - because the performance figures attained by all the magazines still show even though they are slightly down they still post good times.

Also from a very good source (and sombody that's figured over 20 M5's) has told me that M5's are also down and around 493 bhp so me thinks that the M5 board thinking they are making 530 bhp are way out!! (still a fantastic car though).

At what point do we as a community bitch at Audi. Surely this actually infringes advertising standards or something? Not wanting to be picky but they claim this engine deliver 414, that is brakes the 100bhp/liter barrier which is good but that is all a crock of *$£! if it only delivers < 400 bhp.

cheers,
- Dean

The B7 RS4 is marketed as 420 PS, which is about 414 bhp. There's a rolling road day at the weekend, anyone up for checking their stock power?

Audi figures will be measured on an engine dyno, so unless you want to take your engine out, you may have a problem proving it is down on power.

Shame you cant increase boost to improve on those low power figures 8)

Difficult to prove, as someone has said, as a road dyno uses lots of calcs and assumptions including drivetrain losses. Hence the same car will get different numbers on different dynos. Saying that I'm sure I've read somewhere that people have taken action against manafacturers before because of the same reason

Forget proving it, You know it works...

You just have to get out of a B5 and drive a B7 to see its down on power. So no surprises there.
