I just r/xd an email from the dealer otday. ordered my avant in march and today told>>>

The order is with the factory, but they have not yet confirmed a build week, or estimated anything. I will update you further when I have some news.


When is this likely to be in my hands, surely not by August, which was when i was initially hoping for ???

I've been told by my dealer (who generally doesn't lie) expect anytime from November. May even be January 2007. Pretty depressing really, hence why I'm now looking at a B5 to fill the gap.

I spoke to my dealer today and my Avant has gone confirmed. Build week 26. Delivery in July....which is nearer than expected. One of the very first apparently. Woo Hoo.

#When my dealer told me that my Saloon was coming early. He said he didnt know what was actually the rreason as he has also been told a couple of his Avant orders are coming in ahead of time.

My Avant order was reportedly the first to be confirmed...........so dealer says.........but I still have not been given abuild date other than week 29, which is the begining of July, which means delivery will be late August

do you know when exactly it went in to audi from the dealer?

hmmm interesting read. Also read on here today that theres been at least one perhaps two cabriolets that have arrived a couple of months early.

I wonder if Audi have swapped/brought forward cab production in place of the avant for brand marketing/weather issues and not told anybody or not allowed dealers to pass this on to the most important link in the chain - the customer.

The mind boggles. Another Audi F up? I*f so how do we feel about that chaps?

Not very happy. Good luck to all those getting their cars early but every month my Avant is delayed my RS6 looses more money so I will be asking Audi who is going to cover that cost.

Spoke to my dealer last week who told me not to expect my car (ordered 2nd March) before October. Being slightly un-chuffed, I phoned Audi UK to let off some steam. I spoke to a lovely lady called Sally who made enquiries and phoned me back to say that my predicted build week was week 30, and that this hadn't changed since I ordered the car.

I dont know what to think - I also tried the line that my S4 was losing money due to their delays. Guess how far that got ......it seems they have us over a barrell.

Still, good luck to anyone who gets theirs sooner. I'd be interested to know which dealers are able to get in there first.

My dealer placed the Avant order the second the ordering book opened.

Definitely confirmed build week 26, which is 26th June. Confirmed it will arrive in July....

Just got to wait now for that lovely Sprint Blue RS4 Avant.

Dealer has told me that only one Avant per dealer is being processed.

Spoke to my dealer today and my Avant is apparantly scheduled for week 28, however it is not yet confirmed so it could change. If it is delayed it could be caught up in the August shut-down which would delay it even further. So fingers crossed for week 28 which will mean that it should be available for Sept 1st.

That should be interesting then, my dealer ordered two at the same time, one for me and one as demo for the garage............ I wonder which one will come first

Update today is car is confirmed for build week 26 which is last week of June for delivery before the end of July.....

Mine is confirmed for build week 27 with a lead time of 8 weeks. So looks like 1st Sept delivery to me then.

mine should be soon after thaT then i guess, seeing as my order was soon after yours at same dealership, just wondering why i haven't had a build week though
