Avant build weeks

I understand today from my dealer that no new info on Avant build weeks is yet showing on the system.
I had originally understood that it would be week 22 for the 1st RHD Avants, but Simple1 has suggested today it will be week 30.
I have tried to talk to an "RS4 product specialist" at Audi UK, they tell me they will have some contact me, they just call my dealer and get them to repeat the we don't know chat from earlier in the day.
I find it astonishing that no one seems to have a clue whats going on.
Any one got any ideas, I'm getting pi**ed off with this lack of information.

'Nothing is set in stone' thats the gem I was quoted today, when I placed my order, the day the book was opened, I was told build week 20-22 for delivery early to mid July, today the same person who gave that information and took my deposit flaty denied she had ever given out any info about build and delivery dates

nice Audi lady

I tried at the start of this week to add ceramic brakes to my avant order and i was told by the audi dealer that unfortunately i couldnt add to the order as it had production next to the order status on there computer data base. From this iam pressuming rightly or wrongly that it could be about 6 weeks away?

I tried 2 weeks ago to add colour coded door mirrors as a factory option and was told I cannot as my order was locked on the Audi system indicating that there was some sort of progress on the manufacturing front that made an amendment to my order a no no. I will now try and use this potential 2 month production delay to get my door mirrors painted by the factory. I feel I should add that my dealer has NEVER given me a delivery date or build week as Audi have NEVER given one to him. It seems to me all the build weeks quoted have had no real substance to them other than opinions given by dealers who frankly do not know the build weeks, or Audi have had some sort of major production problem. Try and get a dealer to put a build week/delivery date in writing, good luck. All this applies to what I know with regard to the Avant only and not the saloon.

I ordered a RS4 cabriolet back in march and was told that i would take delivery in Mid July. Most of the options they told me about were wrong and some (like the black optic pack) are apparently not available- even though threy are in the brochure. Chap in dealer very nice bloke- but after me repeatedly calling to get an actual date- they have suddenly said that I have a build week of 33. Which means the car won't arrive till "probably" 4-6 weeks after that. When I asked what the delay was nobody knew and was told that Germany can do what they want and things are not set in stone!! One of the reasons I went for the cabriolet was because I could have it in the summer and not have to wait ages longer for a saloon... When I called Audi UK they told me that no RS4 cabriolets would arrive in the UK till August at the earliest... is it too late to change your mind and get your deposit back? if this is the taste of service to come - I have my doubts!!

does this mean that it still could be more than 2 months away then. Iwas just about to put my S4 on the open market!!
They are very shy of committing themselves to delivery dates or build weeks

I also have an RS4 Cabriolet on order which i ordered in March - I was given a build week of 22 but was told 2 days ago that the build had already started and it's now at stage 4 (Bodyshop). Expected delivery is still mid July according to my dealer.

It gets taken off the standard production line than then moved over to Quattro GMBH who do their magic and then moved back for finishing off. Then it gets tested and shipped. 8 weeks in total I've been told.

Newbie signing in.
What does it all mean? I placed my deposit for an Avant on the 2nd March - was quoted mid July delivery, like others. Also like others this has since been denied by the dealer.

They now claim that there are no allocated build weeks for the Avant yet - are they winding me up?
Sorry my first post is negative, but I am getting a bit pi**ed off with the dealer and Audi UKs attitude.
My question is - Will I get my car during the reign of the present monarch?

This is all very strange as my dealer yesterday telephoned me to say that my avant is showing as Build Week 26. Perhaps I should record him saying this.

I had a call yesterday from my dealer with an update. My car was spec'd on the 2nd March but there is still no build week allocated to my car. It seems the reason is due to the spec of my car that is causing the delay.
