DMS I understand are developing an ECU upgrade for RS4 B7?
DMS I understand are developing an ECU upgrade for RS4 B7?
Whats the likely results of the upgrade and is there anyone else developing or modding them yet?
RE: DMS I understand are developing an ECU upgrade for RS4 B
AFAIK there isn't a single HP to be gained safely on an otherwise standard B7 RS4...

@harry: thanks for the arrogance but ask MTM. Thanks good bye.
RE: DMS I understand are developing an ECU upgrade for RS4 B
MTM say this? Is this the same MTM who don't produce a chip for the S4 but many other tuners do. OK the gains aren't great but they are there.

Lots of rumours, supercharging etc.......but at the end of the day, normally aspirated engine gains are not significant. I believe the RS4 has two ecu's, one for each bank, but any gains are more likely to be @ 20 bhp and not much more of a gain in torque. What DMS can do instantly is remove the top speed limiter

@ S2 tuner (Minhea)
No no you get me wrong. was trying to be jocular not arrogant. I was only alluding to your considerable knowledge and skills on the subject - which are highly revered on this site btw - if you didnt think it could be done safely then that was the end of the matter.
Yes MTM are all over the supercharging side of things but that is diff from ECU upgrades isn't it (in my limited knowledge ans know very humble opinion)
No offence intended and hope none taken.
Peace out.

@harry, sorry, my bad then, I took it as arrogance, apologies for this.
What I know is that several of my friends in Germany have tried and haven't succeeded getting a single HP out of this engine. This is speaking on proper dynos without trying to BS people.
A full exhaust system with race cats might allow for a little more advance and a few extra HP/Nm to be had by running the engine a little richer at WOT but I doubt it will be huge amounts...
Cheers,
Mihnea
