Is anyone going for the normal A4 mirrors with the electric folding mechanism?
IMHO the ali mirrors are a bit bling but are a key identifier of the car. I would need folding mirrors as I doubt it would fit in the garage otherwise. There is no way I would leave it on the drive as it will get nicked, and again on this point the mirrors help identify it as an RS4. Body coloured mirrors would help it look more stealth, like a typical S-Line.
I would idealy want body coloured RS4 mirrors, but the folding is essential as I gather you cannot even push the normal RS4 ones in.

RE: Mirror Options
The standard RS4 mirrors are indeed fixed. I'm told that regular mirrors can be ordered (A4 or S4 ones?) but no one can answer whether I can also have memory function on the electric recaros (buckets way too tight) and folding mirrors (not interested otherwise).
Maserati GranTurismo GTS Auto, S3 Sportback, TT2 3.2 Roadster, Disco3 for the heavy stuff.

RE: Mirror Options
the b5 rs4 had an option for folding alu mirrors that wasnt on the option list... strange but true. i retrofitted them to mine with the oem wiring/switch/relay.
maybe the alu ones are available as folding but the dealers know nothing about them - wouldnt surprise me at all.

RE: Mirror Options
Why worry about folding mirrors - the wheel arches extend out the same distance as the mirrors - so folding them to put the car in the garage may lead to nasty scrapes or dents!
