Matt. My Saloon RS4 is on Build Week 17 - May. When should I expect my car?
Also i want to add the blinds option to my car, will that change my build week?
Thank you

Hi Riz,
I see your still mad about the RS4, when you get yours it wont disapoint.
You should be ok to change the blinds without changing build weeks, even if it did it would only drop it one cycle so it would move to B/W 19.
And I think you said you wanted it for a 1 Sept registration, so you should be ok.

RE: RS4 Avant Build weeks
All ties up with the info I have from Audi AG/GMBH. Production is closed from 1st -6th May for re-tool for right hand drive production, so two weeks of saloon production follow by two weeks of saloon and Avant production seems right. Strange how they can build avant and saloons on the same line but they do.............also strange that right hand production will cease 28th May........ they must have a ball of orders for left hand drive......
RE: RS4 Avant Build weeks
Maybe saloon production ends for RHD cars this year?

Simple1.
The factory has four tracks, 6 cars to a track sometimes 8 cars but mostly 6. When they produce Avant and Salons and soon to be cabs they simply restrict types to tracks. The automated parts distribution selector brings all the drop in parts to each track. So whilst you can build different types of cars (e.g. Saloon or Avant) you cant build different types on the same track.
I will find a picture and send it to you.

It is highly unlikely any photos will be produced here........ reasons......
Audi wont publish any incase of industrial spying........ and they remove all methods of taking photos from anybody who enters the factory gates..... including mobile phones..... so wind your kneck in, and behave!

now now no need to be like that. It was only a request.
You are obviously talking from a position of more knowledge than me with regards to Audi installations, I appreciate that, and take on board your reasons stated above. After all, that is what this forum is about isn't it - sharing of information and knowledge in a friendly environment?
One more question - what is a "kneck"?

On the end of boot which will be firmly placed up your rear end soon.......
Suggest you read the original post again, read it in the spirit in which it was writen and then consider the consequences of publishing photos which are treated as top secret by Audi, especially when we have their unquestioning support for the site.
My knowledge is not that of an employee, I simply have been lucky enough to be included in lots of trips organised by Audi over my 22 years of ownership, which have included numerous trips to both factories.. if you want to go and have a look, there are plenty of organised trips. Talk to your local dealer, Audi UK do publish lists of times and dates for them to offer future customers. You may be asked to contribute to part of the costs though.
