Couldn't beleive this but at the dealer in Derby there is a blue RS4 that has been rejected by the buyer due to..................................wait for it..................fuel consumption!!

Perhaps he should have bought a Micra or something. Strange thing is, he is apparently a local car dealer. Smell of rat or what?

I dont think "most" dealerships would accept a car being rejected due to poor mpg, unless there was a enine fault at it was doing 1-10mpg all the time etc?

I don't think I would have the bottle to tell a dealer I was rejecting a car like the RS4 on the grounds of MPG, would expect to be laughed out of the dealership.....

Decided to wait and try and get an Avant in a year/year and a half!!

Donnington demo car was doing single figure MPG but it was getting the milk sacks beat off it all day...........predicted mpg is high teens.......... what drugs is the guy/girl taking if they dont expect a 4 ltr V8 to be a bit juicy.......E55 usually sits 17-19 mpg with slightly heavy right foot

Yes deffo sticking with the RS4, Im so over the moon its amazing.... got over 700mb`s of video clips and tons of reviews to try and keep me calm but it isnt working Also keep going into have a look and a real one in the showrooms when passing...... its a long wait until September but I know it`ll be worth it... kept the spec the same (see "It`s Coming.....) post, just added the RS4 matt`s to my order....

Once again im soooo excited... words cannot explain.

What is the general outcome of the reviews towards the RS? Most mag's seem to be very harsh in relation to performance Audi's IMHO.....

Well i`ve done one post... "AutoCar Test" etc which isnt a bad review at all.

I would say many reviews arent harsh at all and to summerise most of them say the following.

*best Audi made
*good all rounder
*one of the worlds greatest engines
*first class interior
*worth its £50k price tag
*still not as much feedback as the M3`s, but not totally numb either

There are so many reviews out there, most are positive with a handful giving negative or neutral ones....

I have seen the car in the flesh and fell in love with it the first time I saw it in Cardiff Audi.... been hooked since the topgear test too.

Im just a hardcore petrolhead.....

Agree with Riz, all the reviews say it is a major improvement for Audi.

They are gorgeous thought, especially in Spirit Blue.....
