What tyres are standard and are there options?
I've seen suggestions that it comes with P Zero Corsas but also that these are options. If option, is it an option in the UK or elsewhere and how much and why not listed as an option in price list blah blah blah...?
Anyone, especially a lucky bugger who has taken delivery of theirs already, go any info?
cheers,
-Dean

I think some cars will come with P Zero`s as standard, all depends what stock the factory has at the time of production, most will come with Michelin Pilot Sports.

Both of which are decent tyres...... Some German press cars had Continentals which were not so highly rated.............

All of the ones I've seen (about 12 including pictures on here) have the P-zeros with red lettering

On 'wear' I opted for Audi Fixed Price Servicing, or whatever they term it, for the S4 Cab I have. 2 years, 6 tyers and a few brake pads for about £660 a year. Thinking about the same for RS4 given I will probably were tyers out every 6-9k miles
Thoughts?
Will probably be more than 1k a year fixed price system but that is a set of tyres

RizPirelli to fit all the new Audi RS4 Range Milan 06.09.2005
The new RS4 has been presented today at the Pirelli proving ground facility with P Zero High Performance Tyres Range
Milan, September 6th, 2005 - Pirelli announces its presence as Original Equipment on all the new Audi RS4 range, the new sports model of Quattro GmbH presented this week to the international press at the Pirelli proving ground in Vizzola Ticino exclusively fitted with the ultra high performance tyres P Zero Rosso and P Zero Corsa Asimmetrico.
The ultra low profile tyres P Zero Rosso characterized by an optimum balance between extreme performances, safety in any driving condition and comfort, together with the P Zero Corsa Asimmetrico tyres which are derived from the motorsport for use on both road and track, meets the requirements of the new RS4, a sports car which combines the latest high performance motoring qualities with supreme everyday driving ones.
The P Zero Rosso tyre homologated on sizes 255/40 ZR18 and 255/35 ZR19 has been designed with a tread pattern which ensures high resistance to aquaplaning, excellent grip in the wet and dry as well as handling precision, comfort and low noise.
The contact pressure is uniform thanks to a structure utilizing technologically advanced design and innovative materials that increase tyre's performances and regular wear.
The P Zero Corsa Asimmetrico model, homologated on size 255/35 ZR19 comes from the racing experience and has been projected for use on both road and track. It ensures extreme performances in the dry as well as in the track wet asphalt, total grip when cornering, accelerating and breaking.
The new homologation for all the new RS4 range and the equipment of all the cars presented at the Pirelli proving ground facility confirms the technological partnership between Pirelli and Audi, in particular on the Audi Quattro models as well as the company's strong positioning on the market's higher segments.

Simple 1, I have two lots of Continentals on my M3 and very happy with them, not noisy and wear really well.simple1 wrote:Both of which are decent tyres...... Some German press cars had Continentals which were not so highly rated.............
