Not many RS4's out and about

Post by EuroSag » Mon Mar 13, 2006 11:22 pm

I'd have expected to see quite a few RS4's out and about by now, but I've not seen any - other than a couple of the 55 plate press office cars parked up (ages ago) and one 06 plate briefly at a dealership.

Any chance of having a quick count up to see how many people on here have actually taken delivery?

Mine is finally in the UK although I won't be taking delivery until next week.

Hope to collect mine on Friday (fingers extremely tightly crossed). Dealer has asked me to drop in the insurance docs today, so they can tax it. It's due to arrive at the dealers today.

Will be back after the weekend with my initial impressions. Cheers, Mark

As you probably gathered s4aero I am highly impressed with the car, I put my name down for one two years ago and it has been worth the wait. Having owned 3.0 qtro spt A4 & 3.2 qtro spt A3 this is my first RS so I can't compare it to the B5 which is obviously revered by many of the guys on this forum.

The car cannot be properly appreciated from images, it looks awsome when seen in the flesh, very wide from the rear with those extended arches filled up with the georgeous 19 in alloys. I thought I had specced the wrong colour when I seen many on this site opting for Phantom or Daytona but when I seen Avus on the actual car I was delighted with my choice. Surprisingly have not seen any other Avus examples to date.

The most satisfying aspects of the car in my view are it's aggressive but not overstated looks, that 4.2 V8 on sport mode, handling and ride (Audi have got the balance bang on this time) the interior and especially the bucket seats and RS4 steering wheel.

Only regret not speccing RNSE sat/nav, but hoping to have it retro installed in near future.
