Black Optic Pack.... help

Post by Krammer002 » Sat Mar 04, 2006 5:31 pm

Does anyone know the whereabouts of any pics of the 'black optics pack' fitted to Daytona or Phantom Black RS4.
It's the only two remaining decisions to be made, before this coming Monday's order confirmation.
Please help........

I haven't seen any of these colours with optics pack fitted. IMO I only think it looks good with Misano Red and I have decided that the Daytona Grey I have ordered is better suited to the matt brushed aluminium and have therefore dropped the optics pack.

Jezzer, I think you may well be right.
Until recently, my first choice was to be Phantom black but recently become attracted to Daytona.
I wish Audi would show the result of the 'Black Optic Pack' through their New Car Configurator' facility.

THis whole thing stresses me too! i'm committed to phantom black with black optics - it was and still is a source of debate in my household! - wish somebody would release a pic of it. Anyone else ordered black with black on here?

I have gone for Phantom Black as well, I think you need some contrast in the trim, sets the car off, I think black on black is not a good option. Again it all comes down to personal preference. Was keen on Daytona but the pictures in Phantom look better.

I have been doing an informal survey on cars on the road in Melbourne, Australia, black is very popular, I suspect good for resale.

 You're not alone!

I want black with black optics around the windows and black mirrors only. I am being told black optics on the Avant includes black roof bars that I do not want and I would also end up with the black grille surround that I do not want either.

May be some one who is a dab hand at Photoshop or other can do that to an existing picture of Phantom Black?

Looks good from the front and rear, but not so sure from the sides.

I would go for the Black optics on about every colour RS4.

If you change your mind later on it will not be too expensive to change the grille to the silver surround item.

The black looks far more evil and more stealthy.

Once you go black you never go back....or so they say.

Personally I'd go for body coloured mirrors and anthracite rims for that full pimped out look.

Oh yeh and window tints....

I like the brushed aluminium trim personally but its just customer preference... no matter what spec people go for there is one thing that will remain the same....

its a RS4!!!!! ;)
