News to us ???, although it probably will -- the Geneva show opens 1st March - which is when the car goes on Display, so at the very least we'll get an announcement on when we can order.

I've just had a chat with head of sales at a local dealership, he was VERY convinced that Avant deliveries will be Spring 2007. Allocated Saloon deliveries will be as late as June  Make of that what you will.

They had a Black saloon, Up for 53.5k, available 1st september after demo. Someone has offered them £58K for it, they said no. I noticed 2 things about that particular car.

1. The painwork was very poor.
2. The door side bolster on the bucket seats are already looking shabby!! It is so high and narrow, getting in and out (especially a 16-stoner ahem) is going to flatten them fairly quickly.

RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

WTF? if that is the case then it will be £1500 back for me. The car is bordering being too late anyway.

Romans are selling a 55plate saloon for 59K which is madness - interesting to see if it goes though....

Must admit I was surprised to hear that news, although from a selfish point of view next Spring would suit me fine. Who knows, we seem to hear something different everyday, even at this relatively late stage. As I mentioned though he was fairly convincing compared to some I've spoken to. Give him a shout if you fancy, Hassan Omar 01865 373 735

The paint on the car was to me, very thick. Orange peel effect was evident on most panels, and in some places it looked like hammerite. A one-off I'm sure, and I'm sure easily fixable in the hands of a capable detailer, but it didn't look like 55 (or 58!) grands worth of car somehow, even in the nice shiney showroom. My 6+ seemed better value! :nodder:

Premiums? Are they having a laugh? List, fine, but not any more surely.

With regards to deliveries, September should be realistic hopefully, I had been advised June by product marketing.

Not in much rush to spend £55k so not fussed if it's late :D

Well, I may not, totally undecided at the moment... Actually my dealer has just called with "some news" I missed the call, but if it's to say the car will be September, I'll certainly delay it, if it's more like Spring 2007 like I was told today by another dealer, I might be ready to try something else by then... Spondoolies permitting. Anyway thoroughly enjoying the 6+ although it's made me appreciate just how quick my B5 RS4 was...

Dealer just called back - with official correspondence from Audi: Price for the Avant £51780 And delivery..... Late July 2006.

I give up...

I've been quoted anything from July - September 2006 too from different dealers for the Avant. Spring is a new one me but hey ho!

All over it like a rash those boys eh?

Hang on Bob. A dealer called you back? Must be the 6+ influence...

just put a deposit today, hoping to get it aug/sept tax free to export to its birthplace. dealer seems to think i would have no problem selling on my deposit if i have to pull out if the work contract fails

no colors/spec stated. i will almost certainly go with the low and opt for daytona. saw a misano saloon today though and couldn't stop smiling. getting a drive in it soon, but it could have been sooner had i not been leaving the UK for 3 weeks on friday!!
