I think they take SD/MMC cars, somebody has tested them up the 1gb capacity, I will be buying more nearer to when my car arrives so I can listen to my mp3 tunes.
Did you opt for the TV tuner module? I didnt bother but would like to know if its possible to add it on from a cheaper source or even better hook up a dvd player to it.

I'm pretty sure you can add on an alternative source - I did exactly that on my DVD based RS6 Nav unit.
Alpine do a great range of goodies that are designed to interface with existing units. Probably worth getting on their website.

On the subject of the sat/nav/mp3/audio bits, is it possible to connect or get an attachment for an i pod?

Yes. A company called Dension do one. You have to take out the head unit and unplug the CD changer. The iPOD adapter plugs into the socket that the CD changer would normally plug into. You can get one with with either a dashmount cradle or just a lead that can be routed through to the glovebox, etc. Obviously, it will mean that your CD changer becomes redundant, but with 5000+ songs on an iPOD, that shouldn't be too much of a concern. Oh, and the other good thing about the dension unit is they interface with the original stereo/steering wheel controls.
Do a quick search on the internet for Dension Audi/VW iPOD interface and you should find what you want. I think you can get them for about £100 or so.
