RS4 Avant or S6 Avant

I have a pre order deposit with my local dealer for a RS4 Avant.
I think I'm No 3 with them.
I had hoped for delivery in September but looking at the comments on this Forum I'm not so sure. If the Avant RHD production tuns into the same fiasco as the saloon, it would be 2007.
That does'nt work for me.
Does anybody know if the July launch that has been mentioned for the S6 is realistic and would this be for both saloon and avant?
Any comments on the car?

I'm going through this thought process at the mo. The RS4 is quicker, will have better residuals and is manual. However, the S6 is a much newer car and has a lot more room. I am a bit put of by the weight of the S6, however.
