Strange! There's not one on the B6 S4 so why put one on a more capable car?

Impressive time, under 8 minutes! Limiter would only slow down at Döttinger Höhe, and even then you'd be talking about a few seconds max.

Any more info on the time and drive? Was this a test for some magazine, or Audi's own test? Supposedly with sport-suspension and Corsa-tyres?

I thought all Audis were limited at 155mph? (unless of course you tweak the ECU!)

I'd agree with 270-280kph. The RS6 is also around that figure.

The B5 RS4 had the top speed limiter at 262.02 km/h. Funnily enough, there are reports of some RS4 owners hitting 310 km/h on the clock in untuned cars....

Some sw versions for the B6 S4 have the top speed limiter set at 298.02 km/h whereas some others have it at 257.02 km/h... weird...

Bummer. 7.58 on the Nordschleife and 1.25 on TopGear seems like a lot of effectiveness for the money. Anyone has reference times for the Nordschleife?
