I added it as I want a cut!
Just reading the memo and I see rear ISOFIX is fitted. So they have a range of family saloons and the least family focused one and the one they are striving for less weight, they stick it in???
Hows that for a cohesive approach?
p.s. Can you tell I'm bitter because the S4 brochure said it had it and mine hasn't!

Ask about a retro. In most Mercs you can retro ISOFIX for about £250 a side.
Audi also misled everyone with the S4 cab with the brochure saying that the front seat had ISOFIX (as all other A4 cabs do) but reality is no as standard or optional fit. Cost them a sale, that.

Jusy checked the handbook. At the end of the safety section it says that ISOFIX can be retrofitted. Now, no excuse for a new car!

Yeah on most it can including mine. They want £130 to do it. The comment I got from Customer Services was that the S4 brochure was a generic european one and not UK specific. Of course it doesn't say this anywhere and I'm not aware of what other European country has their brochures in English but they won't budge on it.

That sounds cheap and is half the price of Mercs. Can they also do the bars on the front seat with the airbag deact switch? If so I might buy a 2nd hand S4 cab.

Sorry, I don't know about the cab. I was told they could in a saloon but never pushed it as we've decided to keep kiddy in the back.
p.s. After all this the rear facing seat we've selected isn't ISOFIX anyway.

Britax make the only rear facing ISOFIX and its not cheap. Once your baby is 9-12 mths old you will be onto forward facing seats where the Audi ISOFIX seat is excellent and c£135.
Best of luck with things - its hell! (I've got two ISOFIX kiddies).
Audi ISOFix Seat - how much ?

We have an ISOFix which we bought and really never used. It is the one with the cushion which can be used for young kids and then removed.
Is that one really £135? If so I am off to E-Bay!
Robert.

The £135 one is a forward facing 9-18kg seat with ISOFIX fixings. Anything ISOFIX is expensive at the mo as Britax have effectively cornered the market. Their German subsid makes practically all of the branded car manufacturers' seats. Try Britax's own brand one, its only £160-180. Its amazing, adding the Audi logo actually lowers the price!
