That looks quite nice, but still too subtle.

I do like the black grillk though, as it doesn't make the new grill quite so obvious (I don't like the new grill).

If I were to guess I'd probably say it was the new shape S4 with a facelifted front, as the arches etc just don't look big enough for an RS.

Hmm everyone is guessing. No-one knows. It says twin turbo. YES PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE. PLEASE PLEASE

Two exhausts - yep looks good
Front arches - not bad
Rear arches - need to be bigger. Look at the back of the current model
Suspension - either its going very fast or it leans too much

LOL JohnW. Great minds think alike. 1min between our posts.

It is an RS, beacause it has the typical honeycombs fence!

So maybe it is just a test mule with RS front arches, bumper and grill.

It has no silver mirrors or any badges, so it could be anything.

The bottom of the doors have the same plastic mouldingas as the S4, and the rear arches don't look any wider to me.
Besides, it has a full roll cage in it, so its not exactly a standard pre-production car, unless they are going to supply it with one of those too (dream on I think).

I hope you are wrong Conti. It does not have the road presence of the RS4. Do you think twin turbo is true too?

No, the text in the German magazine was made my a Quattro man, so it will defininatly have 425bhp and no turbos!

The mirrors are black, but that doesn't mean anything! I mean, the whole car is black!
100% RS4!!!

My point is Conti that normally the S & RS has silver mirrors. If they can change the mirrors then they can change the grille too.

Lets face it though, the spec is not definite until they officially announce the car, and all this speculation is fun but it is still a pre-production car so anything can be changed.
If that trully is the look of the new RS4 I don't think I'll bother.

I'm not 100% sure, but, if you buy a new A4 (B7) in black. There is still a silver border on the grill.
The "RS4" in the picture is completely black and that is exactly why the mirrors don't have to be silver!
Another example is, that on the headlights is still some black tape, and there is black tape for the lights at the back of the car.

The car is an RS4, but it hasn't got all the RS details, yet. (If they would want somebody to identify the car: Where is the RS4 typedesignation?

Still: 100% RS4!

Audi have been getting very good at mis-information over the last few years. I was involved in the A8 (D3) development and at one stage they were quietly telling various people (knowing it may leak) the car wouldn't be aluminium (due to problems in production); however when we saw the first off-tool car, voila - aluminium.
I always found it quite amazing how late some of the key specifications could be left prior to a car launch.
