Hi,

Does this feel off to anyone else?

https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/ ... rce=twilio

Selling the car after a deceased husband etc..The replies in the questions raise a flag for me.

Probably just being cynical...

Had a proper look, sure it's fine, given its a C&C ad and the level of detail etc.

I’d say you’re genuinely interested go and have a look, you may find it’s all good and you never know might end up with a bargain
relatively speaking

Doesn't sound like a scam to me. It's a legitimate website too. Also, if someone is going to try and pull a fast one, doubt they would do it on one that's sat on 160k. That's top end of mileage and bottom end of value - not really a great deal to gain.

It does go on though. This car https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... rs&fromsra

Reg = RS04 LEO. There was a big thing on the groups about it at the time, FS Performance were selling it. Sold it to a poor chap for top money £25k something like that. He then had a brake failure on the drive home only to find out that it was completely corroded underneath and they stuck it through a dodgy MOT. Looked like it spent half of its life at the bottom of the Atlantic. Fast forward a couple of years and the above garage are trying to sell it. Whether they know it had the issues or not remains to be seen but I asked them about it and they said they never knew it had any issues, yet they can't seem to put an MOT on it and it's been for sale for 6 months!

Yeah I didn't look hard enough, just a couple of replies felt off so I posted where whilst on the move. It makes sense given who's selling it etc.

Yeah I remember the story about the RS04LEO car. Different kind of scam there.

Decent price?
Did you win it? Considering it has wingbacks, FBSW, carbon trim, etc. I'd say it's a very good price. Folk in the US will pay that alone for the seats, steering wheel and a couple other bits!!

I replied to your other post!

I meant the car didn't exist kind of scam, but I fired off a post way too soon.

Looks like a decent buy, I hope it works out for you.

Is it on the original suspension?

Yeah it is but I plan to change it at some point in the future. The tpms is playing up a bit atm but once that's sorted it's all good. Doesn't feel like it's done 150000+ miles at all. Cheers!
