Having had the manifold off for a month or two while fixing a load of bits on the car and carbon cleaning, i seem to have mislaid a rubber cap.
Its very odd, i bag all the bits carefully, to the point i question it was on there when i removed the maniflold, but cant believe it would run without it....
Could someone take a look at theirs and advise if it has a retaining clip or just the rubber cap?

Re: Can someone take a look at their engine for me
I just had a look at my manifold (which is still off the RS) and mine doesn't have that inlet bit - manifold design appears to have changed slightly in that it seems to have been hard capped out at the factory.
Mine is a 2008 yr model, so I had a look at ebay .. and another 2008 yr manifold listed appears to have this inlet, like yours, albeit capped off with the rubber cap
here's the pics from the listing:

I would pickup the rubber cap from the dealership.. probably not much.. maybe came / dropped off when removing the manifold?
Not looking forward to installing mine back.. especially with those PCV / oil separator valve bolts at the rear.. and the myriad of vacuum hoses

Thanks guys, will pick one up.
I may have taken it of and lost it, its been too long, started this project last year!
R8wut, i was also not looking forward to it, it went back on surprisingly easily. I counted and photographed the connects so sure not to miss any.
Those bolts at the back are it, but they took 15 mins with the low profile ratchet tool.
If youre not in a rush, its really not a bad job.
