Undertray replaced - Audi no longer stock it

Post by Burty » Wed Aug 30, 2023 7:57 pm

While in France, we had a scary moment when a screeching noise from under the car suddenly appeared - my first thought was a broken rear spring and the tyre rubbing against the inner liner. Fortunately it was the undertray having split and partially broken up. Some jury-rigging with cable-ties was a temporary fix until we were back in the UK.

On contacting my local Audi dealer I was a little shocked to find that they don't supply it an longer. Ebay showed new ones available from Latvia (!) and a fire-damaged secondhand one from a salvage yard near Wigan. I gave Martin a ring at Unit20 as they are nearby to see what he thought and surprise, surprise he had a new one on his shelf - result ! :biggrin3:
