Re: Led number plate lights
Call me an old cynic, but "Been there, done that" and I've not found a sensible LED that lasts long enough in that position.
And the rear plate in the UK is yellow anyway, so what's wrong with old-school filament bulbs?
In the end I gave up on my 20-year-old S8 and put the ORIGINAL factory bulbs back in, still working fine, they're indestructible.
The money I spent (and time) on LEDs was a total waste, should have left well alone.

Re: Led number plate lights
FWIW, the only way to guarantee error free LEDs on these old style CANBUS systems is to have an resistor set up in the circuit - however in saying that lots of people get away with these plug and play systems! You and your luck. I installed the EM Tuning kit with the resistors added to the circuit and it's great. The LEDs are just right too - they don't light up the entire street lol
