Hi all

Got my vert outta storage and got some jobs to do on it this summer.

1st job is seat bolster - see other thread.

2nd job is carbon trim fixed - lacquer is cracked.

Obvs i need to get this out/off so i can send it away.

2 questions.
1) does it all just ‘pop’ out? I dont wanna be breaking any ‘lugs’. Anyone got any piccys as theyll help me know how to remove.
2) does the quattro badge on the piece above the glovebox, stick on or ‘pop’ out?

Tia

So….finally got the inlays out…simples when you know how BUT not as per YouTube. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Sent off and inspected - seems there are 2 layers of carbon ‘floating’ in lacquer, not something ‘my man’ has seen before…so in otherwords, cant be re-lacquered. 😥😥😥😥

Sending it all back - no change unfort.

Has anyone else had theirs ‘fixed’? Any recommendations / suggestions?

It can be done, but this might not make sense for you since I’m in the U.S.: After buying many new OEM carbon replacement trims (they all cracked, esp. shifter plate), I finally bought a whole set of refurbished trims from ocarbon.com (you send yours to be refurbished (and wait), or they send you a finished set and you send yours as cores for the next person). This was three years ago and they still look great and haven’t cracked, or warped. They say they use an improved clear coat and their process makes the carbon look less brown and more black, so I believe he only sells whole sets. I think the color looks better than the original.
