Which Front Discs

Post by otb123 » Fri Jan 07, 2022 9:49 pm

Hi all, looking to replace new front discs and pads.

What is everyone using and recommending?
Do like the idea of going with OEM still as I’ve had no issues, and can be had for £650 ish off eBay.

Lot of people use Reyland discs but I would need to swap bells over etc and not overly keen on doing it myself!

Cheers!

I replaced both front & back on mine last month.
Brembo on the front and Pagid on the rear. I also needed some new caliper bolts. I paid £1300 in total. I also had the rear calipers sent away and totally refurbished for £250.

When I had my B7 RS4 I used AP Discs and Ferodo DS2500's pads. The thing stops on a sixpence and in the wet too.
Changing you're discs and pads is a basic mechanics job. Be aware of the little alan key screw that holds the disc to the hub, sometimes gets jammed and you need an impact screw driver to loosen it. Also don't forget to buy two new ones'
