KONI + H&R

Post by demon8991 » Wed Nov 17, 2021 11:30 pm

Hey all,

I am planning to replace my DRC with a KONI & H&R setup from CRS Performance.

There are two options, standard height and lowered by 20mm.

I was wondering whether any of you would care to share your photos of your B7 at standard and lowered (20mm) ride heights.

Any thoughts on the two are also welcome.

I bought mine with the H&R 20 mm lowered springs / KONI set up on a medium setting. Cannot comment on how they compare to the DRC standard setup, corners very flat, very firm on poor road surfaces. Photo might help.

Awesome, thanks for that.

Looks very similar to what my car currently looks like with the DRC.

I'm looking to switch out the current Bilstein B14 setup on my 06 Avant with the KONI & springs from CRS.

The Bilstein's B14s are too harsh and the car is too low. It's an amazing car but very jumpy and hard on UK roads with the current setup, I think you ultimately end up covering distance slower.

I want to get it as stock feeling as possible without going back to DRC. Plus I'm old and a bit over the racey setup thing!

I've had discussions with CRS about the springs and ride height. Steve from CRS did mention you can fit Audi springs but they are a bit more expensive.

Just my thoughts as I'm going down a similar route when I get time/money to make the changes.

Be interested to hear feedback on the ride comfort of the KONI & H+R vs DRC.

Thanks for the thoughts.

I am trying to get as close to DRC as possible.

Would love to see a profile view of one that was fitted with the standard H&R springs.

One last check.

I don't suppose anyone has a profile view of Shockerboys Koni and H&R setup at the standard height?
