Post by Chinny » Tue Nov 09, 2021 2:18 pm

Hi All

Been looking at lots of posts about these failing both of mine are on there way out noticed steam coming from the front and removed the front fog light grills and pax side proper wet and drives side slightly wet. I’m not to bothered about getting the cold feed put in. Just want to know roughly what the cost for replacement is? Thanks

So had the new rads fitted today. Nice to find that the old ones were the originals fitted from new. Date stamp September 2007 just over 14 years old.

exactly the same here.
had a bit of steam on one side in the headlights, bit of staining from the antifreeze on the rad under torchlight. the coolant tank down a bit but still above minimum.
took it to the local garage who confirmed the rads on both sides are leaking, but oddly passed the pressure test even when upto temp.
a pair of them at £270 ish each and the the cost of another rad give or take to fit them.
