Any fixes for chrome trim tarnish (bar painting)

Post by sprintblueb7 » Fri Jul 09, 2021 7:51 am

I'm guessing it's a fairly standard problem on most variants but just wondered if anyone had any success in removing the age-related blemishes on roof rails, window surround trims, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I'd rather not go down the paint/wrap option if possible...
A million & 1 detailing products on the market doesn't really help my case, unless I start buying them up 1 by 1...!
Many thanks

Wipe down with ACF50. Not a permanent solution but masks the blemishes.

Autosol metal polish. The standard stuff. In the black and gold tube. Not the Alu version in the silver and blue tube. Works like a champ at getting rid of the milkiness.

Funnily enough, I got some after someone here recommended it. Been using it ever since.
