Additional S Button.

Post by Look595 » Mon Apr 05, 2021 4:20 pm

Has anyone fitted an additional S Button on to the dashboard....I have the flat bottom wheel but want to prevent wearing the S button out. I’m calling it a prevention measure!

Nothing to do with being mental.

You can but you’ll have to recode the steering wheel to a comfort steering wheel and then you’ll lose all the functions on the FBSW. The dash mounted “S” button will work, though. It’s the opposite of what I’ve done on mine, as it’s a US car and I’ve retrofitted a FBSW.

The only alternative involves splicing the dash mounted button into the wiring loom and that’s way beyond any knowledge I have.

Or, you could do the really OCD thing and keep a spare microfiber cloth in the door pocket and use that when you you want to press the “s” button.
