Fitting new springs - DRC disconnect req’d?

Following on from recent thread, just checked my rear springs as car sitting lower at the back, sure enough I’ve got a broken rear spring.

Was thinking of fitting a set of H&R lowering springs but to do the fronts does that mean disconnecting the DRC and then having to recharge? If it does, I’ll probably just got for a pair of OE rear springs and leave DRC alone.

No dont have to disconnect. But be warned it's very tight but just about doable. Be very careful to not to put any stress on the DRC flexi.

The place that did mine doesn't have the capacity to deal with DRC, so no.

Here are the instructions for the KW HAS kit that I’ve had on my car now for a couple of years and basically will be the same for the installation of any other spring kits...

The install Is pretty straight forward and as mentioned by Dhali there is no need to remove the front strut completely or its line but the work here needs to be done carefully so you don’t nick the line, preferably between 2 people it helps.

I assume the H&R is not adjustable? The nice thing about the KW is the spring rates is spot on with the struts and works very nice and you have the possibilty to adjust to your liking, I had the car set at 24.75 inches initially when i was on 265/30 r19 and now adjusted it up as I use 265/35 (25 inches).

Hi guys, Im thinking of reverting back to stock springs for my DRC car because its too bouncy for me, no reason to beliebe any issues as was inspected by Audi and had bushes changed 10 miles before i got it a month ago.

No indy Ive spoken to wants to replace without disconnecting the shocks first, and in doing that costs a lot of money, is there someone who has the experience to do it without or is that a DIY by experienced owners only?
