Can anyone recommend a new battery?

I couldn't find any recent posts with any recommendations.

I was looking at this as a starting point as I can get a discount

From the old posts I found, people mention Bosch S5015 or Varta i1. Anyone have any others they recommend?

I used Tanya batteries after seeing a post and recommendation on here about 3-4 years ago. Good price and battery still good.

After a bit more googling it seemed Tanya was the place to. Probably get the Varta.

Hooked up my little Ctek charger that I normally have connected to the bike & it seems to have charged the Audi battery back up. But I've not changed the battery in the 6 years I've had the car & don't have a receipt in my paperwork that suggests it has ever had one, so think I'll replace for peace of mind.

Went for the same one you posted in the link from Tanya a couple of months ago, arrived quickly and has been great so far.

Like you, mine hadn’t been done and wanted to make sure it wasn’t an issue before it became one.

In case it helps someone, I ended up ordering from Taynas ebay store. The Varta one was discounted to £106 inc p&p.

A good saving over their own website. Ordered on Sunday, arrived Tuesday
