Carbon clean question (again!)

Quick question guys. Intending doing a carbon clean soon and removing the inlet flaps to remove the risk of engine failure with loose screws etc. Am I correct in saying the flaps can be removed by just unscrewing them off the arms , leaving the arms/spindle in position therefore not needing a remap and don't need to remove the core plugs either? Also does everyone remove the port separators at the same time ? ( and yes I have used the search function to the point of probably confusing myself with all the information out there ) . Thanks.

I have recently just started my own CC too and wanted to remove the flaps.
I manage to remove the flaps without taking out the core plugs by using a very small wrench screwdriver.
My plan is to leave out the separators too as they are only useful with the flaps, I've done quite abit of research and came to conclusion about leaving all the rods and actuators in place so it doesn't throw any codes.
Attached a photo of the tool I used to remove the flaps.
Hope this helps!

Cheers for the reply . Yeah my thoughts are the same regarding leaving the rods in .
