Time to replace the battery

Yes its that time of year ! I need to replace the battery. When I bought the car it was advertised with having a new battery. Great i thought but in further investigation it was a cheap aftermarket one that isn't up too firing up the beast in cold weather. I do have a trickle charger but even that isn't making much difference now. Can I have the groups recommendations please for a decent replacement. I have a 2007 cabrio.
Cheers in advance.

I went for a stop start AGM battery as my drives tend to be quite short:

Basically, the technology used for stop start batteries.
You would also need a charger thats AGM compatible if you went down that route.
I think I had a Varta I1 in previously which is a standard, non stop start battery.
