B7 FBSW...’rattle’

Post by Fatneck73 » Mon Nov 02, 2020 7:08 pm

Hi

I have a ‘problem’...when i turn the wheel, it sounds Like theres a small ‘thing’ rattling around inside the actual steering wheel and ‘falling to the bottom’...to the alloy bit.

What could this be and how do i get at it?

Ive youtubed but only found how to remove the airbag but gut feel is its in the lower ‘flat’ part...i assume these do come off??? A loose screw???

Help.

TIA.

The silver bit does come apart but you are highly likely to break the plastic tabs that hold the two pieces together.
Perhaps it is one of those tabs that have broken off and rattling around ?
