Help with a Screw

Post by demon8991 » Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:31 am

Hey all,

Currently got my car on jacks as I had some repairs done on the wheels and a fresh set of Michelin PS4s.

Was about the put the passenger side front wheel back on and noticed the below screw on my garage floor directly underneath the brake and suspension area. Never seen this one before so just wanted to check whether any of you know where this might have come from? It could be a coincidance however my garage floor (epoxy) is reguarly vaccuumed and mopped as I am a bit OCD haha.

Could be but not certain, that that is the screw that keeps the brake disc on the hub.

As above, screw that locates disc in position so that holes line up for wheel bolts.
Also stops disc falling of when you remove wheel.

It does look like the disk retaining screw

Thanks for all your replies, been so busy this weekend I never got the chance to log back on, but as always appreciate the excellent help.

I figured out (as you all said) that it was the retaining screw about two hours after my original post when I removed another wheel and noticed the screw on that one.
