Exhaust Issue

Post by cjt2020 » Wed Jun 10, 2020 4:09 pm

Hi all

Any ideas if this broken connection to actuator can be fixed or do I need a new back box ? It’s stopping exhaust flaps from working properly

Many Thanks, Chris

Same thing happened to me when trying to free up seized actuators. Forced me into the decision to blank the lines off and have the flaps open constantly. The exhaust note is changed a little, it’s slightly more noticeable but that’s about all the difference.
I’ll put it back to standard when I need a new exhaust.

Thanks, mine are jammed open and it’s running fine without error just a bit louder as you say. How did you blank off lines?

Stick a golf tee up each of the vaccum hoses. Or a wood screw.

I tapped a thread in mine and screwed in a mountain bike brake bleed nipple, holding out so far

M6 bolt with some lo tote thread sealant then cable tied the hose to the bumper bracket.
